I picked up the dutch apple pie and freshly made whipped cream, putting it into a bag.  A glance at the clock told me we were going to arrive late to the staff Christmas party.  The staff party was already buzzing with people when we stepped into the room.  After placing the pie and whipped cream on the desert table Brett and I looked around for a place to sit.  We were just about to sit down at an empty table when one of the other teachers walked up and invited us to sit at their table.  Their table was already full of people, but they all squished together and made room for three more chairs.

God invites us to sit at His table and eat with Him.  It doesn’t matter to Him how many people are already sitting there, He will make room for us.  He invites us to enjoy life to the full in His presence.

I am now standing at the door and am knocking. If any one listens to My voice and opens the door, I will go in to be with him and will feast with him, and he shall feast with Me.  Revelation 3:20
