Brett spent many hours last week preparing for the school barn party tonight.  Just to name a few things he made games for the kids to play and rented a popcorn machine and a cotton candy machine.  Then in order to be able to run the machines and lights he rented a generator.  After hours of running electrical cords the lights turned on, the popcorn popped, music played and the cotton candy machine began to spew out small bits of sugared cotton candy, but then the electricity went out.  After the electricity went on and off several times Brett finally figured out that the generator did not have enough power to run the popcorn maker and the cotton candy machine at the same time. 

When I try to operate my spiritual life under my own power something always seems to short out and I’m left in the dark.  I’m thankful that God has enough power to operate my life on full power at all times!
