I listen to Brett playing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” on Aspen’s little guitar. She say’s, “Daddy, that’s not how you do it, it goes like this.” She proceeds to sing the song for Brett. Brett plays it again, but Aspen insists it’s still not the right way.
It crosses my mind that Brett knows how to play, “Twinkle, Twinkle” on the guitar and Aspen knows absolutely nothing about it. Still, she confidently insists on telling Daddy how it should be done.
Once again I realize how much like Aspen I can be. I really know so little about life and sure don’t know anything about the future, but so many times I think I can tell God how my little universe should be run.
