I decided the cloudy sky this morning would make for a good day to work outside. I picked up my shovel and proceeded to dig holes for all the plants I had put in pots and brought with me from our previous house. The soil where we live tends to have more than it’s fair share of rocks. Every hole I dug the shovel hit a rock. The rock created more work until I finally removed it and could continue to make the hole deeper to plant the awaiting greenery.
I wonder if God gets as frustrated with the rocks He needs to remove from my life in order to prepare it for planting His goodness in it as I got today while digging in the dirt. Some rocks dislodged easily while other rocks required more effort. I hope in the future I can let go of the rocks God wants to dislodge rather than continue to try to hold on to them.
