Those of you with children of any age know that cleaning up is a daily chore. It seems as if Aspen makes as much of a mess all by herself as her three older siblings did all together. But, regardless, if I want to live in a clean abode I need to clean, clean, clean! Everyday!
As amazing as it may seem my spiritual life needs cleaning every day as well. Just as soon as I ignore spiritual cleaning for one day a little dust and a few spider webs creep on in and the longer I go without doing some clean up the easier it is to ignore. If I’m not careful it can get so messy that it’s easy to just close the door and ignore it rather than go through all the trouble and bother to clean it out.
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13
Hello! As usual, an enjoyable pondering-thank you! Wish us ‘luck’ as they say-we’re trying out the York SDA church-the one on Roosevelt. Just going to the Worship service to begin with at 11am. I’m wearing my grey slacks n nice top-hope it’s ok, my days of dresses n skirts n tottering on heels is past. But if they are as special n welcoming as the super conservative SDA church in Miss.-we should be ok n I’ll even look forward to going on my own on the occasional Sabbath Wayne doesn’t. Thankfully, this co.doesnt seem as totally uptight as the last about having him every Sabbath-whew! Wayne said we’re definitely going this Sabbath when a local church flier that came in the mail inviting us as new to the area-I looked them up n saw they are selling pretty much the same thing as the rest of christiandom, I cried. We’re Not looking for a Club to schmooze in! I figure we might as well stick with one that has at least one biggie we agree with-the day. And my experience has been in-depth bible study. Believe me I’ve looked at Alot of churches now that I know how to look things up on the comp.to see if any have all their ducks lined up like we’re looking for. Nope! But then, we don’t even believe all our own Church of God, 7th Day preaches. Good grief! Well, talk to you when your free! 🙂 Ellen E.
