While it was still cool this morning Brett and I went over to my garden, which is at the “old house” and moved my earth box planters to the “new house”. I looked at all the different plants growing in the garden and decided that just maybe I would rather be a plant. Truthfully, I’m just kind of tired of constantly making mistakes. Plants on the other hand don’t have that dilemma. They get planted and grow into the plant they are supposed to be. Now I know that I have freedom of choice while the plant doesn’t, but why can’t I just be more like a plant and grow into what God intended for me to be without wandering off the path onto the road of least resistance?
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. 1 Corinthians 15:3
(Don’t miss out on the post Brett will write tomorrow expanding on this thought!)
