Yesterday while moving we ran out of boxes.  There wasn’t much left, so I carried it out peice by piece to the car.  I felt a little silly when I had two peices left to carry out:  A small plastic clock and the kitchen trash can which was about half full of stuff.  I couldn’t carry them both at once so I sheepishly carried out the small plastic clock and then came back for the trash can.  The thought struck me that while one load was definately heavier than the other one that God in the same way only gives us what we can handle at one time.  Whether it is as light as a small plastic clock or bigger and heavier like the half full trash can.

There isn’t any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps His promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. But when you are tempted, He will also give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape.  1 Corinthians 10:13
