We were invited to attend a minor league baseball game tonight with some co-workers and friends.  I’ve never been to a baseball game before and can’t say I was thrilled to go.  I’ll have to admit I didn’t watch the game.  I spent my time chatting with the other wife who attended with her husband.  We had a good time, but for us it was like the game didn’t exist.  We had a nice dinner, nice conversation and the guys enjoyed watching the game. 

We were all at the same place with the same opportunities.  The baseball game was played whether we watched it or not.  While my new friend and I chatted away the time, two teams were playing to win.  Whether you know it or not two teams in your life are playing to win.  Unlike the two baseball teams who played tonight where nobody knew who would win we know that we will have victory when we join God’s team.  Jesus died on the cross, He has already won!  You can play on the winning team. 

Don’t you realize that everyone who runs in a race runs to win, but only one runner gets the prize? Run like them, so that you can win.  1 Corinthians 9:24
