But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10
Food tastes better with salt. At least I think so. I’m sure most of you have seen rock salt in round chunks in a jar with a twisty end that you can turn. As you turn it the salt becomes ground into smaller pieces that fall onto your food and enhance the flavor. But, it wouldn’t taste so good if you just put the big chunks onto your food, you have to grind it up into small pieces to make it useful.
When you read the Bible the Holy Spirit works like the twisty end on the jar of salt. The Holy Spirit takes the truths that you read and allows it to change your heart and life. Jesus told His disciples in John 14:26 that “…the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything.”
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8
