I will rejoice greatly in the LORD,  My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness…Isaiah 61:10

“The Emperors New Clothes”, by Hans Christian Andersen tells the story of an Emperor, who despite the highest position in his country, was fooled into believing a lie about the clothing he was wearing, or rather not wearing.  We can be as easily fooled as well.  Unless we are wearing the robes of righteousness that Christ has for us, then we are wearing nothing but a foolish lie.

We need to pray like Paul did in Ephesians 1:17, for spiritual wisdom and enlightenment, to know the will of God more fully.  Let us not be deceived by pride into believing that our nothingness is the best there is.   “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”  Ephesians 1:18

Put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way you can take a stand against the devil’s strategies.  Ephesians 6:11
