“I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich….” Rev. 3:18.

Imagine walking into Wal-Mart and instead of loaves of bread, boxes of cereal and bags of socks you see aisle after aisle filled with precious stones and jewels.  They are free!  You can take them.  Not only are these jewels worth a lot of money they have special powers.  When you take them their special powers become yours.  You look at the description of the jewels and see pearls of truth and diamonds of love.  You look in your wallet…..the jewels are free but in order to obtain a pearl of truth you must exchange your stack of paper lies.  In order to take home a diamond of love you must give up the pounds of hate.  You hesitate…..is the exchange worth it?

These things that I once considered valuable, I now consider worthless for Christ.  It’s far more than that! I consider everything else worthless because I’m much better off knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. It’s because of Him that I think of everything as worthless. I threw it all away in order to gain Christ.  Philippians 3:7,8
