In reference to my post yesterday about static, when Jesus was here on this earth He stayed so tuned into the Father that the static of this world did not interfere with the work that His father had called Him to do.  He remained so humble that He was able to say, “The person who has seen me has seen the Father.”  (John 14:9)  Jesus led a perfect and holy life, yet He did not allow the pride of that to grow in His life and allow it to block out letting others see nothing but His father in heaven at work in His life.

As Christians we are servants of God; He commands us to love others as much as we love ourselves.  When others look at you do they see the works of your father in heaven?  Or is the static of the love of self, and pride of self, getting in the way?  My challenge to you today is to go out and love others the way your father in heaven loves you.  Unconditionally.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn’t jealous. It doesn’t sing its own praises. It isn’t arrogant.  It isn’t rude. It doesn’t think about itself. It isn’t irritable. It doesn’t keep track of wrongs.  1Corinthians 13:4-5
